I work at The Carriage Coffee Shop in La Mirada where I first met Ryan. He was a shy young man with a boyish face which made his personality shine through. There are no words to discribe the sadness that I feel. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him!

At a time when we need our police so very much, at a time when the job itself is so difficult, I am thankful for the men and women who dedicate themselves to it. Losing any of you grieves me terribly. I pray Ryan’s family is comforted by those who know them. Every one of us wakes up each day thinking this one will be like every other. One day, it isn’t. I pray Ryan was prepared.

    Grace and peace…
